The Return of the Pantry
Did you know…
Hundreds of years ago, when pantries were first used, they were stores for bread. The word “pantry” derives from “pain”, the French for “bread”. A traditional pantry may also include a stone shelf, sometimes called a “thrawl”, which would be used as a larder to keep food cool.
Pantries are making a long-overdue comeback to the kitchen and are now at the top of peoples wish list.
Our pantry is incorporated at the end of the run in the kitchen, allowing for a double fronted double pantry. It opens up to reveal pull-out trays for small appliances, pull-out drawers for pasta, cans, cereals, baking ingredients and all your everyday items. Ample shelving which can lit from behind looks great and ensures nothing gets lost at the back. This space is good for larger bottles and bags especially if you are reducing your carbon footprint and buying in bulk!
As all our kitchens are bespoke, built-to-order, you can choose your storage requirements that work for you. Keeping a record of frequently bought food packaging means we can tailor your storage areas.
Book a viewing today at our Leeds Showroom and see our new Blue kitchen on display including the pantry.
